Two days later...

Here we go!

So those of you who are not retarded like I am likely recognized the "weird feelings" that I was having as a fever. And correct you were. So I experienced the most dissapointing day of my stay. No rally, as I was sick in bed.

I started to feel better thoroughout the day, only to have a 75 year old woman hit on me at Golina's birthday party. Yeck.

Yesterday, I went to see Chicago and Moulin Rouge in Russian. It was really interesting. Chicago was very well dubbed, with vocal talent very similar to the origional. Moulin Rouge was dubbed-over, so I could still hear the English most of the time. I really enjoyed it, I'd forgotten how much I liked that movie. I remember going to see it for the first time after watching the Tony's at Bethany Wagner's house my senior year. I went with the Show Choir crowd, and sat in stunned silence at the end of the movie for a while. I miss those people. I wonder where they all are.

Today I haven't done much. I went shopping a little bit. And I came here. There are a couple of young english speakers here. I'm tempted to talk to one of them, but I really don't know what I would say. "Hi. I couldn't help but hear you speak English. I do too, and I want to speak it with another native speaker because my brain hurts from all the Russian." That's so lame.

I did watch Boondock Saints today though. I hadn't seen it before, and let me tell you, it's one awesome movie. One of the guys in it though had a tattoo similar to one I was considering a couple of years ago. Sad, because now if I got it I would look like I was following a movie which is more lame than talking to someone randomly because of their language. Not that I would get it anyway.

So, I'm alive. And I have to go back to classes tomorrow. I'm inside a month. I'm really looking forward to getting home to everyone.
