Saturday, In the park, I think it WASN'T the fourth of July.

I woke up this morning, took a shower, picked up my little bed and went to the kitchen to have some Kasha. When I looked out the window I saw some serious snowage. I mean. It had been snowing some every day, but there was a serious blanket this morning. I smiled really big cause I remembered LaRae told me it would snow today and I didn't think anything about it. I love that girl.

Anyway, we waited a while to go out cause we wanted F. to show, and just as we were about to leave him he did. So we were on our way to Nevsky and the chocolate museum! Kristin had been looking forward to this all week. Someone, I think Jana had heard that we could sample the goods and such. We got there and there was a black man all decked out in victorian attire inviting us in. I thought racism...as this was the first black person I had seen in Peter, but the thought passed quickly as I enterd chocolatey goodness. This cozy feeling of being surrounded by chocolate vanished as quickly as a bag of Oreos at LaRae's place though when I realized that the museum was a tourist trap. It was no museum at all, just a big-A store.

The store was cool, chocolate busts of Lenin, a chocolate chess set...but no freebies, and no museum. We left pretty quickly. We went to a Bliny cafe. It was pretty rockin. I think I'll make them for my "Russian traditional dinner" that I've decided I'm having in Waco and prolly one in T-town too when I get back.

After that we hung at the apartment for a while and got on this train...25 hours this time. But Kristin and I have the compartment alone so no crazy old women to annoy me. I can sleep and relax and drink some Mt. Dew that I bought in Peter. Time for a movie!
