I slipped into a really bad cycle now that I'm settling in to Waco. Two nights ago I went to bed at 3 or so, night before last it was 4, and last night it was nearly 6 before I finally went to sleep. So, seeing as how classes start tomorrow and I have to get up at 8am I decided to make myself get up early today and then just be stupid tired all day long.
You might ask why I was up so late. I could tell you that it was because of the nice party LaRae and Crawford and I went to last night, but I came back about 1:30. Then I might say it was because I wasn't tired. But in actuality, it would be because Mr. Crawford hasn't been here but for a measly 4 days and he already gave me a call to say, "don't worry about coming to get me, I'm tired, I'm just going to crash over here." *chuckles* Good for him. I can't wait to hear the story this morning.
So I'm a bit concerned about SING. (For those who don't know SING is an All-University "show-choir" like contest that is a huge deal to this university. I participated last year, and am participating again.) Last year, SING was a fantastic experience. Most of you know my egoistic tendencies, and they were stroked by the fact that I posessed two solos in the show, and I had a lot of friends from SING. This year, I'm concerned because our leadership is faltering already. They are so secure in our theme and in our music and in our assistance from the theatre department that nothing is getting done anymore. For instance, we have a meeting tomorrow. I know this because it was told to me on the phone yesterday with one of the SING chairs. no one else knows this, and I still don't know where or when. If we lose this to irresponsibility...wow, people are going to suffer.
That wasn't very uplifting now was it?
I'll leave you with something more amusing then. This morning, while others still slumber from a party, I sit doing homework that I can get done for next weeks classes that have yet to begin. I am a huge nerd, but I am a hugely busy nerd, and if I can get ahead, I have to.
