Russians are crazy. I know this goes without saying…but it’s so very very true. It’s fun though. My professor showed up today looking mostly like death. He told me that yesterday was his granddaughter’s 5th birthday, and they had some drinks. Hopefully the 5 year old abstained.
Yesterday was the 85th anniversary party of the university that I’m studying at. There was a big concert/festival tonight with international students, performances, i was actually pretty good. There were over 40 countries represented by performances (but not the USA, cause I'm not insane.) I got pictures of each group if you're interested in seeing some zambians or something. My whole course came, so that was kinda fun too. It was awesome to run into people that I have randomly met at parties. I feel like I'm actually living here now. Took a while, but I'm mostly accustomed.
I’ve decided on a project to cut my teeth on flash. I’m already writing an unofficial guidebook for students coming to study in Voronezh. I’m thinking that I’ll make a flash version for the Slavic and East European Studies department and also host it on my website for others to use. I think it’ll be helpful.
Time to run off to teach English to youngins. Do me a favor and watch Boondock Saints or Donnie Darko tonight. It’ll make you feel better about life, the universe and everything.
Godspeed my friends – until tomorrow:
