Visa, it's everywhere you're annoyed by beauracracy

I feel better, minus the bowling ball shoved up my nose. At least the rest of my body feels better. It came to me today how much we take our medicine for granted. The common cold really sucks, a lot. I hate that I cant cough because it hurts my head too much. Claritin...I miss you.

Today has been a might bit busy. First, I had to tell my professor about my encounter with the beggars of the more forceful variety. That was a bit unpleasant as he became very worried. I'm sure it was not as much for me as for the state of the Baylor / Voronezh relationship. Nothing in jeopardy there.

After class I went to apply for my exit visa. In order to get it, I have to pay a fee (no big) and I had to go to the bank to pay it. Well, Anatoly, for some reason, got my receipts all messed up so after being at the bank for a while, we found out that it's wrong and I have to go back to the university. Well, I didn't have time today. So Anatoly says "Why don't you take care of it tomorrow between 9 and 10. My response "sure." Translated "MY BUTT. I'm not getting up any earlier to fix what you screwed up. We'll do this during class tomorrow." And we shall.

I'm actually a little worried about the exit visa. They usually take less than a week (known for a fact, Kristin already had to get one and she got it in three days.) But if, for some reason, I don't have it. I swear I'll just kill people. I'm not staying, not moving flights again. I already did this once and I'll make my stance quite clear to Anatoly tomorrow. I'm afraid to scare the poor chap.

After my wasted time Kristin and I went to the travel office and purchased our tickets to Moscow. (yay!) We're going on Friday evening, and arriving in Moscow at around 8:00 am on Saturday. Then we'll leave Moscow on Monday evening to arrive in Voronezh just in time for Tuesday classes. (sarcasm) hooray! (/sarcasm)

I'm off to try to get rid of this headache and get some food in my stomach. LaRae is at home in Tulsa now, and I'm jealous. Instead of imagining her in NY I have to picture her where we've spent most of our lives together. Makes it tough. I'll be there soon though!

Signing off:
