For a dose of infinite wisdom of the sages, check out sourballs123.diaryland.com Now, a warning, the infinite wisdom of the sages sounds an awfully lot like the prattling of a 12 year old goth-wannabe. So if you don't speak their language, you may wait for a vulgate translation.
Today was research methods, about which I'm quite excited. Dr. Keith Sanford is great. He's young, a Baylor grad (out for about 12 years post-PhD.) and he's really really cynical. For example, 'I offer a buttload of extra credit. But you all wont take it. For doing 5 hours of research experience I give you 5 percentage points to the end of your grade. But maybe 3 people will do it. Then, I'll call the people with a 79 or 86 and laugh at them." (<--paraphrased) I'm thrilled.
Sing is rocking my sox. We have a lot of actual talent this year, but honestly, I'm not sure it's worth the price. You see, we have about 4-5 vocal perfomance majors in the group. What's worse is that they're freshmen. Which means, they still think they're big dogs. They come to school, they strut their stuff, and no one notices. So they come to sing and we work on our parts with people who have never sang outside of the shower and they get all elitist about how simple the music is. Are they all like this?
But it will be fun. I won't be getting the role I had kinda wanted, because it's already been given away to the chair, but I think it'll still be a good time.
Anyway, super-deep convo with Traci ensueth, so I better sign off for now.
